Republican Convention

The Republicans are chomping at the bit after their convention last week. They think they have the election won. Polls show McCain has a lead over Obama now. The battle is not over yet. I listened to the Republican speeches. McCain didn’t say how he was going to help the people of the country. All I heard from McCain was about his military service and suffering as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. I’m sorry for the man. He did this country a great service and is a real patriot. The fact is, these events happened over thirty years ago. Does McCain believe people should make him president just because we should feel sorry for him? That’s not a good enough reason to make him president. He is only going to make things worse for the people of this country. He doesn’t believe in worker’s rights. He doesn’t think everyone deserves health care. If he wins, the draft will be back. McCain shouldn’t win or we’re in trouble.
